This policy covers xgoal.io, published by XGOAL Lda. (Portugal). It describes what the site collects when you read it.
The site has no accounts, no sign-in and no newsletter, so it asks you for nothing. Serving a page necessarily processes the request itself: the address requested, the time, your browser’s user agent, the referring page and your IP address. Server logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted; they are used to run and secure the site, never to build a profile of you.
The site sets no advertising cookies and carries no ad tags. It does use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used — but only if you accept it. On your first visit a bar at the foot of the page asks; nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set unless you choose Accept, and declining is remembered the same way accepting is. Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under xg.consent, never in a cookie and never sent to us. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which expire after two years) and receives your truncated IP address, the pages you view and your approximate location; IP anonymisation is enabled. The lawful basis is your consent, and you may withdraw it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the bar back.
Club crests and player photographs are served from our data provider’s image hosts, so those hosts receive your IP address as part of loading the image. Fonts are served from Google Fonts. If you accept analytics, Google LLC acts as our processor for Google Analytics and receives the data described above; that transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google’s standard contractual clauses. No personal data is sold or shared for advertising.
Under the GDPR you may request access to personal data held about you, its correction or its erasure, and you may object to its processing. Write to hello@xgoal.io. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: ours is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese data protection authority, at cnpd.pt.
